Role | Design Manager & Lead Designer
Responsibilities | Delivering UXUI designs and specifications, overseeing the creation of a design system, directing UXR efforts, building/presenting product design strategy and roadmap to stakeholders, and collaborating with software engineering teams on implementation and sustain efforts
Team | Eric Freese (Life Sciences R&D, Product Manager), Katherine Page (Life Sciences R&D, Project Manager), PepsiCo Strategy & Transformation (Design Support), Michael Touna (UXR Support)
Pilot Launched | Q1, 2025
Designed and launched GSSI Labs, a mobile app for the Gatorade Sports Science Institute that leverages wearables connectivity to collect and verify sports science data from non-professional athletes—enabling rigorous, large-scale research beyond the lab. I led design and product development from concept to pilot rollout, collaborating with sports science researchers and engineers to shape both the user experience and the Life Sciences R&D team’s digital product development process.
I drove rapid prototyping, concept evaluation, and usability testing, ensuring the app met both scientific standards and user needs. The pilot launched to 500 users, with a full rollout planned later this year. I’m especially proud of building a design and development workflow for a newly formed R&D team, helping them deliver a technically robust product in a new space.
